Privacy policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This policy explains which personal data is processed when you use allConverter (the “site”). It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors from the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / UK GDPR).

2. In short
- The files you convert are never sent to us. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, on your device.
- We do not use accounts, databases, sign-up forms or analytics tools.
- The site currently sets no cookies and stores no data in your browser (for example in localStorage).
- Like every website, our hosting provider's server records some technical access data (see section 4).
3. Processing of your files
When you add a file, your browser reads it directly from your device and converts it with software that runs locally (JavaScript and WebAssembly). The file and the result stay in your browser's temporary memory while the page is open; closing or reloading the page deletes them. We do not receive, see or keep your files or their content.
The site only loads its own conversion components into your browser, hosted on the same domain. No resources are loaded from third-party servers (no external CDN, no external font service).
4. Technical access data (server log files)
When you visit the site, our hosting provider's server automatically records the information your browser sends: IP address, date and time of the request, page or file requested, amount of data transferred, response code, browser and operating system type and version, and the referring page.
- Purpose: delivering the site, keeping it secure and stable (for example defending against attacks), analysing technical errors.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the site securely (Art. 31 FADP; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Retention: log files are deleted or anonymised after [PERIOD, e.g. 30 days], unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.
- Hosting provider: [NAME AND LOCATION OF THE HOSTING PROVIDER]. The provider processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The site currently uses no cookies and no similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage or tracking pixels. Your browser keeps the site's files (for example the conversion engine) in its cache so it does not have to download them every time: this is standard technical behaviour that you can manage or clear in your browser settings.
6. Advertising
The site includes spaces reserved for advertising. No advertising service is currently active and no data is shared with third parties for advertising purposes. Before activating any advertising service we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent before using cookies or similar technologies.
7. Contacting us by email
If you write to us, we process the data you provide (for example your email address and the content of your message) only to answer your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
8. Recipients and transfers abroad
We do not sell or share personal data. The only recipients are the hosting provider (section 4) and, if you write to us, our email provider [NAME OF THE EMAIL PROVIDER]. If a provider processes data in a country without an adequate level of data protection according to the Swiss Federal Council or the European Commission, we rely on appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission's standard contractual clauses as recognised by the Swiss FDPIC.
9. Your rights
Within the limits of the law you have the right to:
- obtain information about the personal data concerning you (Art. 25 FADP; Art. 15 GDPR);
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 32 FADP; Art. 16 GDPR);
- request erasure or restriction of processing (Art. 32 FADP; Arts. 17 and 18 GDPR);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 30 FADP; Art. 21 GDPR);
- receive your data in a commonly used electronic format (Art. 28 FADP; Art. 20 GDPR);
- withdraw any consent you have given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
To exercise your rights, write to [CONTACT EMAIL]. Please note that, since we keep neither files nor accounts, in most cases we hold no personal data that can be linked to you.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch); in the EU/EEA the authority of your country of residence; in the United Kingdom the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
10. Security
The site is only served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and uses technical measures such as a Content Security Policy that prevents code from being loaded from external sources. Since your files never leave your device, there are no copies of your files on our systems that could be stolen.
11. Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we introduce new services. The version published on this page, with its last-updated date, applies.
